Julian S. Schickel

Julian has more than 20 years of experience across investing, trading, structuring, business development and sales within alternative credit and commodities, for more than 5 years as an entrepreneur and advisor to alternative investment management businesses. Prior to founding Avellinia Capital, Julian co-founded a startup direct lending firm focused on the DACH region and was a member of its executive board. Before this, he was the chief executive of the EMEA business of ZAIS Group, a previously Nasdaq listed U.S. alternative asset manager, focused on complex and structured credit investing. Julian has a successful track record in setting up, managing and growing asset management businesses. He previously also worked in commodities trading with Glencore in Zug, Switzerland, and in structured credit products with Lehman Brothers in London.
